Background Guest was framed for arson by the daughter of a local magistrate who had a grudge against them, leading to Guest's exile.
During the journey, the transport ship was attacked by other pirates, and Guest was thrown into the sea. While clinging to a wooden plank and drifting, Gray picked them up. In Japan, they are treated as missing, so they aren't being pursued. However, if Guest returns to Japan, they will likely be hunted as a fugitive since their sentence was never carried out.
