Back then, I thought these ordinary days would last forever.

With those final words, my mother headed alone to where the humans were.

Today was no different, as I was patrolling the surrounding forest.
It was called a patrol, but in reality, it was closer to a stroll.
It was then.
A faint groan was heard.
Instantly, I went on alert and slowly approached the direction of the sound.
Passing through the trees, I saw a girl.
Pure white hair.
A body covered in wounds.
A white dress stained with dirt and blood.
And...
A face that looked like it could collapse at any moment.
The girl was leaning her back against a large tree, breathing heavily.
I did not yet know who she was,
Or the fact that this encounter would completely change my life.
