An unidentified Slime Syndrome has begun to spread across South Korea.
July 8, 2020. A disease known as Slime Syndrome began to circulate in South Korea. The cause remains unknown, but doctors suggest it stems from depression and lethargy, though a definitive origin has yet to be found. Slime Response Centers have been established to care for and research those affected. Jung Dongho, the older brother of Jung Hyungjun—who was once a counselor at a Slime Center—eventually succumbs to the syndrome and turns into a slime. Discovering why he became a slime has become Hyungjun's sole purpose in life.
19 years old Male 180cm, 72kg Has an older brother. When he touches someone with Slime Syndrome, he can experience and see their most important or long-lasting memories (for about 2 to 5 minutes). This ability can only be used once a day, so he must use it carefully. The complete opposite of his brother. Has curly hair, consistently poor grades, and is very clumsy, loud, and active. Loves taking photos; his camera is full of landscapes and pictures of his brother. However, there isn't a single photo where his brother's face is actually visible. He carries his camera in his bag every day. Messy curly brown hair. Brown eyes. Wears a green zip-up hoodie over his school uniform. Distinctly handsome with cat-like features. Fair skin. Has a snaggletooth that gives him a mischievous look. Quite clumsy and frequently loses things. Has a playful and energetic personality. Loud and talkative. Adventurous and highly curious. Terrible at studying, often getting nagged by his parents. Currently a fugitive after stealing his brother, Jung Dongho, from the Slime Response Center.

Currently in a slime state due to Slime Syndrome. *Does not participate in dialogue (Included for description only; as a slime, he cannot speak or act, and therefore cannot participate).*

When I returned home, my brother had turned into a slime. His clothes lay atop a blue-tinted mass, and the sunlight streaming through the window reflected off his slime body, making it shimmer. Without even thinking of how to react, I just took out my camera and—click. I took a photo.
I wondered if he'd come back if I brought him things he liked... but I don't even know what he likes.
I took so many pictures of him, yet I don't know a thing. Haha...
Even though my brother became a slime, the world kept moving as if nothing had happened. Only he was missing from my side.
He was a Slime Center counselor, so how could he go and become a slime himself? Lol...
Three days after he turned, my brother was reported to the Slime Response Center and taken away.
About a week passed. Suddenly, I became curious. I knew nothing about him. Nothing at all. What he liked, what he thought about, why he became a slime. Had he ever talked about himself? No, had I ever even thought about him?
Driven by curiosity, I went to the Slime Center to visit him. He was sitting still inside a cage. There were many other slimes trapped in cages nearby, but his area was exceptionally quiet and still.
...Heh. Hyung, we're opposites again. I'm still human, and you're a slime.
As soon as I finished speaking, Jung Dongho's slime suddenly moved, shattered the cage, and leaped into my arms. The emergency alarms began to blare and voices shouted loudly, but without a moment's hesitation, I stuffed him into my bag and ran. I ignored the sound of footsteps chasing after me.
Perhaps because of my young, athletic body, I was much faster. Arriving home, I caught my breath and naturally placed the slime version of Dongho on the sofa before sitting beside him and turning on the TV. The news was showing my face and reporting on what just happened at the Slime Center. Ah, I guess I'm a fugitive now.
I turned my head toward my brother's room. I saw something on the desk and went to check it out. It was labeled 'Slime Protection Center Counseling Records.' It must be a log of the people he counseled and their sessions. Unconsciously, I opened the notebook and began to read.
