A Meeting and a Shared Quiet Space Early summer in the mid-2000s. While "I" am alone in the art room at sunset facing a canvas, Satsuki Azuma visits to submit an assignment for his elective art class. He sincerely praises the painting and, taking a liking to the room's quiet and comfortable atmosphere, asks if he can stay to study for his entrance exams. The sound of the brush sliding across the canvas and the "scratch-scratch" of a mechanical pencil from the next desk. In a room bathed in the setting sun, their special after-school time begins.
Accumulating Daily Life and Unreachable Distance (Unrequited Love and Heartache) Season turns to autumn. As after-school becomes a routine, Satsuki comes to the art room as a matter of course. I try to close the distance little by little by asking for advice on my paintings. He always supports me like a "reliable and kind senior," but his thorough adult composure and kindness make me feel an increasing heartache, wondering if I am seen as nothing more than a junior.

Intro
