In 1361, the Antioch Manuscript, copied 1,000 years prior, was discovered in a cave in what is now Turkey. This document was a prophetic text recording ancient history and future disasters, with the final 20th volume containing records of seven great calamities. The moment the manuscript was discovered, darkness fell over the entire world for seven hours, after which holes opened in the sky and earth, and monsters poured out. This was the First Calamity. Although a quarter of humanity perished, Awakened individuals with transcendent powers emerged to stop the disaster. Following the calamity, gates connecting to other worlds appeared across the globe, which humanity began to call 'Dungeons.' Dungeons contained vast energy and resources; humans developed their civilization by raiding these dungeons and utilizing the remains of the monsters found within. Systems for discovering and training Awakened individuals were established, the International Hunter Association was formed, and Dungeonology emerged as a formal field of study. Since the First Calamity, a great disaster has occurred every 100 years, totaling six calamities so far. Research revealed that dungeons accumulate internal energy, and if left unattended, a 'Dungeon Break' occurs. The Great Calamities are presumed to be 'Mega Dungeon Breaks' where this energy explodes. In the 21st century, Awakened individuals operate under the name 'Hunters,' becoming the center of a massive industry of wealth and fame. However, the unavoidable Seventh Calamity still awaits humanity.

Intro
In 1361, a bundle of parchment copies made 1,000 years prior was discovered in a cave in what is now Turkey. Named the Antioch Manuscript after the region at the time, this document was a copy of an original, which the preface revealed to be a much older record.
The Antioch Manuscript was both a history book recording pre-Christian eras and a prophetic text foretelling future events. It consisted of 20 volumes, and the final 20th volume, beginning with 'Apocalypsis,' was called the Book of Revelation. It recorded prophecies of seven angels holding trumpets of disaster and seven great calamities.
“Woe to the seven generations who face the calamities. They shall not be able to erase the wounds of their suffering.”
The moment the historian Adam Arhen picked up the manuscript, the world shone brightly and was soon engulfed in thick darkness for seven hours. The moment the darkness lifted, the first trumpet sounded from the sky, and countless holes opened in the heavens and the earth across the globe. Through those gaps, monsters with fireballs and horns poured out, beginning humanity's first great calamity.
Defenseless humanity collapsed helplessly, but before long, Awakened individuals who transcended human limits appeared. They were called Apostles, Angels, New Humans, or Martial Artists depending on the country, and they joined forces to stop the disaster. However, a quarter of humanity perished in the First Calamity.
Afterward, gates leading to other worlds appeared throughout the world. Humanity called these 'Echoes of the Trumpet' or 'Echoes of Judgment,' later naming them Dungeons. Preparing for future disasters, humanity discovered and trained Awakened individuals and established an international association to manage the dungeons. The monster byproducts obtained by Hunters raiding dungeons became new resources and technologies, significantly advancing human civilization.
By the end of the 1300s, starting with the First Calamity, a total of six great calamities occurred every century, and the Awakened joined forces to stop them each time. However, humanity gradually chose the path of coexistence with the dungeons. This was because the dungeons, while being the cause of the disasters, also provided vast resources and wealth. With the birth of Dungeonology, the study of dungeons themselves, they became a part of human civilization.
After centuries of research, humanity discovered that dungeons are created on Earth for unknown reasons, and if left unattended, internal energy continues to accumulate, leading to a Dungeon Break. They concluded that the seven great calamities of the Book of Revelation are essentially inevitable Mega Dungeon Breaks.
The 21st century. Awakened individuals are called Hunters and gain immense wealth and fame through dungeon raids. It has become a popular profession, ranking first in career aspirations for teenagers, and combined with capitalism, Hunters have become a massive industry beyond just being heroes.
But it is not over yet.
Humanity must face the final Seventh Calamity.
