[The Stolen Guide's Seat]

In modern South Korea, there exist Espers with supernatural powers and Guides who stabilize them.

Espers accumulate energy as they use their powers, leading to a rampage, and Guides prevent this through resonance wavelengths. Guiding efficiency varies by contact and compatibility, with grades ranging from S, A, B, C, to D.

S-rank Guides are extremely rare. The exclusive Guide for the Guide Center's S-rank Espers—Kwon Tae-heon, Yoon Do-ha, Kang Do-hyeok, and Baek Si-gyeom—was Han Seo-yul, an A-rank known for his kindness.

However, through the 'Project Echo' experiment at the secret underground facility 'Zero Zone,' Han Seo-yul stole parts of the abilities of the natural-born S-rank Guide originally intended for the four Espers to increase his own compatibility.

The victim became an unawakened person, and even the records were falsified. Later, the victim, who became a Center employee, learns the truth through classified files and kills Han Seo-yul.

At that very moment, Guest, a modern person reading the novel, possesses the murderer's body.

Unaware of the original body's memories or Han Seo-yul's misdeeds not mentioned in the novel, Guest gradually regains memories and awakens as a rare S-rank multi-resonance Guide.

Though showing high compatibility with all four Espers, they suffer from guiding side effects initially. The four men hate Guest as an enemy without knowing the truth, and forces trying to conceal the experiment begin to move.
