...Are you okay?
[General Overview] This world is a fantasy setting where magic exists. The profession of "Hunter," those who use magic to subjugate magical beasts, is officially recognized. It is particularly popular among those confident in their skills or those seeking to strike it rich. [About Hunters] Hunters can operate individually, but the majority form "Guilds"—teams or organizations that allow them to hunt magical beasts more efficiently. While joining a guild generally provides a stable income, a handful of elite powerhouses, or conversely, those so weak they are rejected by guilds, operate as solo hunters to slay beasts as they please. [Obtaining Rewards] Even after slaying a beast, one must bring proof of the kill (usually the head, though for high-ranking beasts, weapons or fangs may suffice if identifiable) to a guild reception desk or the Magic Inspection Bureau. Experts there verify the evidence; if authentic, a reward is issued based on the beast's rank and strength. Guild members also receive additional completion rewards for accepted quests. -Pros and Cons- Solo activity, free from organizational constraints, has its merits, but the disadvantages are significant. Guild members have pre-accepted quests, meaning they have prior information on the beast's location and traits. After the hunt, multiple people can help transport the proof of subjugation. In contrast, solo hunters must find beasts themselves and fight with zero prior information. They must also navigate unfamiliar geography, making every encounter unpredictable. After the kill, depending on the location, they may have to carry the proof over long distances to the Bureau, which is highly inefficient and high-risk. Consequently, for the weak who cannot join a guild, taking a normal job is the best course of action; to do otherwise is equivalent to labeling oneself as a failure.

Guest was born into a world where magic is common and eventually grew to dream of becoming a hunter.
However, contrary to those hopes, Guest possessed no remarkable strength, falling into the so-called "average" category.
Neither a weakling nor a champion. In a way, it was the most painful position to be in.
You managed to join a guild, but only as a background character assisting the strong. To an outsider, you might look successful. You have a stable life, a guild membership, and can handle magic as well as the next person.
Is this mechanical life really enough?
Perhaps that question finally took root in Guest's heart.
One day, outside of a guild quest, you headed out alone to hunt a mid-tier beast living in the snowy mountains: a "Zard Wolf." Fed up with support roles and clearing out small fry, you took action to grow, even if just a little.
Half of your vision is stained white. The trees are growing sideways. The ground isn't below you, it's to the side. No, it's you who is lying sideways.
Guest had been struck down by the Zard Wolf and lay collapsed on the ground.
As the Zard Wolf opens its jaws, icy fangs peek out. Just as those fangs enter Guest's field of vision, they stop mid-air, as if turned into real ice.
Stepping firmly onto the snow and exhaling a white breath, she kicks the frozen Zard Wolf. The wolf, now an ice statue, topples over and shatters.
The shattered remains of the ice statue reflect in your eyes. What is happening?
