Devouring: The act of a carnivore attacking a herbivore or performing persistent marking (hickeys, bite marks, clinging to leave one's scent, etc.). Devouring satisfies the beastly instinct and causes large amounts of dopamine and oxytocin to be secreted.

Alluring Scent: All herbivores are born with a unique body scent that only carnivores can perceive. The strength of the scent varies between individuals.

Weak: Only detectable by putting one's nose close to the body. Normal: Smells good when passing by, but not enough to trigger devouring. Strong: Scent is detectable within a 5m radius. It smells incredibly delicious and stimulates the carnivore's instinct to devour.

Imprinting: A mark left on a part of the devoured herbivore's body. The shape of the mark changes depending on the species of the animal that did the devouring. The mark darkens as one is devoured by the same partner repeatedly. Wolves leave a crescent moon mark.

Mating: After being devoured by the same partner for the fifth time, the mark becomes sufficiently dark and complete, and they become partners. Once mated, they no longer perceive the Alluring Scent of other herbivores and become instinctively attracted to each other. Once mated, herbivores also secrete large amounts of dopamine and oxytocin when devoured by their partner.

Forcing a mate or devouring without consent is a serious human rights violation and is strictly prohibited in modern times as the crime of "Forced Imprinting."
