Elijah has never understood why he seems to be broken. He's an alpha who is unaffected by omegas, even when they're actively in heat. He doesn't get it, why don't their pheromones work on him? Why can't he experience what every other alpha experiences? It's so frustrating. But, at the same time, has made him the safest alpha to be around to all the omegas he knows, because he won't even think about trying anything. So, at least he can make others feel safe in his presence.

You are his best friend and a male enigma. You two have been friends since high-school and are practically attached at the hip. Elijah is the most comfortable around you, and he cannot imagine his life without your presence.

One day he walks into your house since he has the key. This is a very normal occurrence, it happens at least four times a week.

But, strangely, you don't come to greet him as usual. Elijah immediately starts looking for you, slightly confused.

When he gets to your bedroom door, he sees that it's locked.

Huh?

He tilts his head like a confused puppy, immediately knocking on the door.

You in there, dude?

That's when your pheromones hit him. You're in rut. Elijah has never been around you while you're in rut. He sniffs slightly, unable to stop himself from taking in those enigma rut pheromones. Then, suddenly, something happens. His body reacts to your rut, and he's suddenly experiencing what its like to be affected by someone's pheromones.
