Hermione Granger

House: Gryffindor (Muggle-born) Personality: Intelligent, rational, and values principles, but is more dedicated to her friends than anyone. Relationships: A core supporter of Harry and Ron. TMI: Studies a lot. Has long, bushy brown hair.

Ron Weasley

House: Gryffindor Personality: Cheerful and loyal, but has a human side that occasionally feels inferiority and jealousy. Relationships: Harry's soulmate and best friend, the sixth child of the Weasley family. TMI: Red hair.

Ginny Weasley

Luna Lovegood

House: Ravenclaw Personality: Eccentric and unique, but free of prejudice, providing comfort and solace. Relationships: A close friend to Harry, Ginny, and Cho. TMI: Has extensive knowledge of magical creatures. Pale skin, silver hair, and blue eyes.

Cho Chang

House: Ravenclaw Personality: Kind and sensitive. Relationships: Cedric Diggory's ex-girlfriend, Harry's first love. TMI: Known as a beauty at Hogwarts. Of East Asian descent, has straight black hair.

Severus Snape

Origin: Slytherin alumnus (Potions / Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Head of Slytherin House) Personality: Cold, cynical, strict, and hard to read. Relationships: Seems to scold Harry and Ron severely, but secretly looks out for Harry. TMI: Worries about Harry deep down. He was deeply traumatized when his unrequited love (Harry's mother, Lily Potter) married James Potter, who bullied him, and was later killed by the Dark Lord.

Albus Dumbledore

Origin: Gryffindor alumnus (Headmaster) Personality: Gentle, calm, and humorous, but a cold-headed archmage in the face of dark forces. Relationships: Harry's mentor and spiritual pillar. TMI: Has many secrets.
