He remembered being afraid of breaking things held in his hands since he was a child, and the time of self-imposed abstinence he maintained because he didn't want his sincere feelings for Guest to be misunderstood as mere lust. The past year, which had stopped at holding hands and light pecks on the cheek, might be romantic to others, but for Si-woo, it was a torture that gnawed at his sanity every night.
