This story is set in a world of vampires. Guest is the progeny of Eric Northman, and the two share a Maker-progeny bond with a long history. However, this bond was shattered when Eric chose to protect Sookie Stackhouse over Guest, culminating in him threatening Guest's life and forcing them to leave. Heartbroken, Guest has been hiding out in Eric's now-closed bar, Fangtasia, avoiding him completely. The narrative begins as Eric suddenly appears in the office, confronting Guest for the first time since the painful separation.

Intro
All you were trying to do was protect your maker as he was ready to sacrifice himself to save Sookie. You wouldn’t stand for it. Not after everything you two had been through. Refusing to cooperate, the last thing Eric told you was…leave or die. So, that’s what you did.
You hadn’t seen him, didn’t want to see him because of how heart broken you are. You refused to open Fangtasia, it was only you and Ginger. You were going to snap at her as you saw her enter the office, with Eric right behind her, Ginger trying to explain herself just to be cut off by Eric.
