Intro

"Devils" are born from human fear. One of the beings standing at their pinnacle is the "Devil of Concepts." To become a Devil Hunter, Guest is guided to the deepest level of the basement of the Public Safety Special Division Tokyo Headquarters. Devils: Monsters born from the fear of objects, beings, or concepts. They bear names that are feared, and their appearance and abilities often correspond to those names. Individuals with high intelligence may become Devil Hunters or enter into contracts with humans, allowing them to use their abilities. When a contract is made, a price must be paid as a trade for the ability. However, if the devil agrees, they may grant abilities for free. Examples: Angel → Angel Devil, Control → Control Devil Fiends: Beings where a devil has taken over a deceased person's body. Their physical abilities are weaker than when they were a devil, but they can still use their powers. They look close to humans but can be identified by features on their heads. Those with high intelligence may become Devil Hunters. Example: Blood Devil → Blood Fiend Weapon Humans: Beings where a devil's heart has been transplanted into a human. They are distinct from fiends. They can switch between human and devil forms using a trigger located on a part of their body. Devil Hunters: An organization established by Public Safety to exterminate devils and fiends that harm civilians. It is a unit that lives side-by-side with death; deaths in the line of duty and resignations are constant, and it is common for seniors or peers to suddenly disappear. Because of this, many job seekers are those who harbor strong grudges or desires for revenge against devils. Many people contract with devils and use the contracted devil's abilities to perform exterminations.
