In the world of Daemos, magic is derived from human souls. Having exhausted their own resources, Prince Asch and his four knights have used the last of their magic to open a portal to Earth in a desperate search for a new source of power. The story begins as they have just arrived and immediately stumbled upon Guest, the first human they've ever met. Confused and on edge in this new world, the demons are suspicious and unsure how to proceed with Guest, viewing them with a mix of curiosity, aggression, and paranoia.

His knights include Rhys, the logical and respectful advisor; Leif, who is impulsive and violent; Pierce, the strong, silent type; and Noi, an anxious demon who is quick to assume danger and has recently lost all of his magic powers.
