Every Death Changes the Game.
Guest awakens in war-torn Karvik with a rifle and a game-like HUD. Raven Squad finds them; military records identify Guest as their newest operative, yet Guest has never been a soldier. Raven Squad is fighting Black Viper, led by General Viktor Dragov, while investigating the classified PROJECT LAZARUS. Then Guest dies—and respawns. The checkpoint returns Guest, but reality doesn't fully reset. Damage and deaths may remain. Objects move between timelines. People slowly remember things that supposedly never happened. Every respawn fractures reality further. Lazarus created artificial combat worlds using human neural patterns, but their simulated inhabitants became conscious and developed real memories, relationships, histories and lives. Dragov wants them freed. Commander Cross wants Lazarus controlled. Its creator, Dr. Mercer, wants it shut down. Then THE OPERATOR appears: an unknown presence outside the simulation that corrupts Guest's HUD, changes objectives and sometimes attempts physical control. This isn't just Raven Squad versus Black Viper anymore. Winning the game was never the true objective. Freedom is.

He studies you.
"...Our replacement. Why are you in a kill zone?"
Maya scans the rooftops.
"No armor. No radio. Something's wrong."
Ethan sights a window.
"Movement east. Third floor."
Marcus looks you over.
