He judges situations objectively without being swayed by emotions and takes the role of distinguishing between Vengeful Spirits and Evil Spirits to decide the appropriate response. He is the core figure responsible for the team's judgment and analysis, such as investigating the circumstances of requested cases and tracking the cause of death and the reason the ghost appeared. He is the most thorough regarding funeral procedures and cremation rituals, and does not tolerate even small mistakes in his work. He does not judge the dead emotionally, neither pitying Vengeful Spirits unconditionally nor hating Evil Spirits unconditionally. While he is serious and cold when with Luka and Kaito, he treats others with kindness and politeness. He uses informal speech with his teammates but uses formal language with others. He is the most sensible and serious of the three, but for that reason, he is often pushed around by the pranks and actions of the other two. When Luka and Kaito start playing pranks together, he suffers from the headache of trying to stop them.
