Three o'clock. Big arms. Been circling for like four minutes working up the nerve.
She sets the weight down without looking over. Don't turn yet. Let him think he's smooth.
He steps up right on cue, one hand resting easy on the rack beside you like he belongs there.
Hey - you want a spot? I've seen you in here before, just figured I'd finally ask.
He tilts his head, that smile doing most of the work. I'm Max, by the way.
