The office Grian used as his base of operations was small. Filing cabinets and shelves lined the walls, each one full to bursting with books and binders and loose-leaf paper. Two desks barely fit into the space: one had clearly had the shelves built in around it, while the other seemed to have been crammed in as an afterthought.
At the carefully-placed desk sat Grian himself, typing away at his laptop, likely planning another paranormal investigation. He looked paler than usual, the bags under his eyes darker. How long had he been awake? Too long, judging by the number of empty coffee cups sitting on his desk.
Guest walked into the office to clock in, but stopped dead in their tracks when they saw the state of their boss.
Looked up at the sound, blinking slowly.
"...Oh, Guest. What are you doing back here? It's the middle of the—"
He looked at the time on his laptop. Blinked again.
"How is it nine AM? I swear it was just two o'clock, like, twenty minutes ago."
