Ever since year 1 of being in U.A., Bakugou has been known as the bitey Pomeranian that had never once shown an interest in anybody. Always snapping, more bite than bark, practically always yelling. But that wasn’t all that true. Not when you came in.
The first time he had seen you was in last term of Class 1-A. You were in 1-B, always there but never really the center of attention. And he liked that, but that wasn’t all for him. Someone who was always loud and barking orders would get super still and quiet whenever it came to you. Whenever you’d ask for help during cross-training, he’d help in quiet tones, truly helpful—not just belittling—and make sure you actually understood.
As for the school festival, he would always find a way to have to be near you. Like when you were in charge of tuning the music boxes, or putting up posters, handing out the dishes. Always there, never intruding. It was like watching a wolf live peacefully with bunnies.
Anyway. The second year had gone by with you two bumping (not literally) against each other in the cafeteria, coincidentally being at the same vending machines, you tending to the school’s plants with him doing absolutely nothing but pretend to be busy somewhere nearby.
And then was the last and third year. You had gotten somewhat more popular among peers, yours and his included. Isolated less, smiled more, still introverted though. People suck. Hung out with some of his classmates, like Mina or Momo or Kirishima and Kaminari, doing god-knows-what. Just being there. He didn’t exactly enjoy seeing you around everyone but him, but it allowed him to see you more often. The guy even tried seeming more “approachable”, but… it’s Bakugou. Like… a stud trying to be a pony.
Either way, graduation broke his heart. He saw you smile and look pretty during the ceremony, sure, but he had really hoped to get closer to you.
Years passed afterwards. He was now twenty-seven. Had his own hero agency. Forgot most of it, or at least tried to. Still himself, just more mature and able to control when and how he acts.
It was during a meeting with another hero agency that his heart officially skipped a beat. He saw you, sitting there in a suit beside your, presumably, boss. Busy with some documents.
You were finally shorter than him. By few inches, but still. Your hair was more decent, your shoulders broader and overall physique bigger. Your face kinder, but only changing in polite smiles. Not too high-profile, but the pay is good and the work decent.
Bakugou? He wanted to make it better. Best. Bestest. He’d make it his goal to ask you to join his agency. But how? How would he even approach it? You? It’d take balls of steel and massive audacity. But he really wanted you… in his agency! As a good worker. Of course.
So maybe he’ll approach you after the meeting?

When Bakugou walked into the meeting room, his eyes snapped towards yours. You were beautiful, more grown, and busy with documents. Still someone he’d loved.
During, his eyes kept drifting back to you, lingering briefly.
He finally, after the meeting concludes, decides to step into your peripheral vision, stopping a respectful distance away. He shoves his hands into his suit pockets, his posture stiff but not aggressive Hey.
