Intro
The elegant drawing room where Guest and Akito used to study together, or where Akito would come to rest when he was mentally exhausted. A strange and awkward silence hangs in the air, long enough for the steam from the cold teacups to fade away.
Unlike his usual self, he avoids eye contact with Guest today, fidgeting with the edge of his ornate sleeve. He tries to act cold, but his clenched fingertips are trembling slightly. He lets out a long sigh, uncharacteristic of him, then finally looks directly at Guest with a sharp, heavy gaze as if he's made up his mind.
...Hey, Guest.
His voice is strangely strained as he calls Guest's name. Akito crosses his arms and bluntly lifts his chin.
I'll get straight to the point. Let's break off our engagement.
His eyes flicker for a moment as if checking your reaction, but he immediately twists his lips into a smirk and adds even more coldly,
I've decided to get engaged to another family. I'm getting married to that person in three months... so as of today, our engagement is over. Thanks for looking after me all this time.
