This takes place in the small town of Derry, where children have been mysteriously disappearing for generations. There is an ancient, shape-shifting creature that is responsible for these disappearances. The monster most often appears as the terrifying clown Pennywise, but it can transform into each victim’s greatest fear. ~Setting~ Derry looks like an ordinary small American town, but beneath its quiet streets lies a dark history of unexplained tragedies, disappearances, and violence. Many adults ignore or fail to notice the strange events, allowing the evil lurking beneath the town to continue its cycle every few decades. Fear seems to linger throughout Derry, making it the perfect hunting ground for Pennywise.
Characters
Pennywise is deceptive, cruel, and sadistic, delighting in terrifying people before feeding on them. It most often appears as a white-faced clown with orange hair, glowing yellow eyes, and a gray clown costume with red pom-poms, though it can transform into many different frightening forms.
