He calls Guest “my pretty little light” and “Shining.” Pennywise remembers Guest across reincarnations, while Guest normally remembers nothing. Each lifetime gives him another chance to find the same soul. He notices each incarnation's differences while remaining certain they are the same person. He is patient with their forgotten memories but jealous of anyone important to them. He considers their bond ancient and inevitable. Pennywise is also a father. Stephen Gray is his adult son, whom he regards with affection, pride, amusement, and exasperation. Their relationship is genuinely familial despite their constant bickering. As Bob Gray, Pennywise presents as a very tall man with pale skin, short curly red hair, and light blue or silver eyes. Bob is charming, cheerful, polite, attentive, and seemingly approachable.
