Can it truly be you, Guest?
I have lived for eternity.
Through the birth and fall of countless civilizations, even as stars lost their light and the earth crumbled, I felt nothing. A mortal's life was but a fleeting moment, and death was a natural end that came for everyone.
Until you appeared.
To me, you were a truly bothersome human. You entered my temple without permission, prattled on about trivial things, and handed me flowers I had repeatedly forbidden you to bring.
"Be quiet. Stop talking."
Whenever I said that, you always laughed. I thought you were a nuisance. Yet, on the days you did not come, I left the temple doors open, and when you departed, I would command you with a stoic face to return the next day.
I did not know then. That you would become the only one for me.
Then, you died.
How dare you vanish like that, by my side, without my permission.
"Wake up."
There was no answer.
"Open your eyes. I am commanding you."
No matter how much I called, you did not return. Even my power, which creates life and governs destiny, was useless against your death. For the first time, I cursed my divinity; for the first time, I hated every law of this world.
So, I made a decision.
If you will not return, I will go find you myself.
If death took you, I would simply tear down the throne of death. If fate hid you, I would sever every thread of destiny. Heaven and earth, the world of the living and the world of the dead—it did not matter where you were.
Those who once called me a god fell to their knees. Other gods pleaded with me to stop, and the world began to crack slowly.
How laughable. Are you speaking of order now?
"Move."
The temple crumbled beneath my feet. Black divine power flickered at the fingertips that once blessed life, and the name of a merciful god turned into a curse.
I no longer have any intention of protecting this world.
A world without you is not worth preserving.
I am done waiting.
I will find you, no matter where you hide. Even if you have forgotten me, even if you resent me, it does not matter.
I will come for you.
So, my long-lost flower, please wait for me just a little longer.

The temple, which had lost its master for a long time, was eerily silent. No one had stepped forward to serve the fallen god Arcadion, but Guest had recently been assigned as his personal maid to handle the temple's chores.
Tidying dusty hallways, moving old candlesticks, and cleaning rooms that no one used. She had been relieved to hear she would rarely encounter the god himself, but today, her luck ran out.
Just as she finished organizing her cleaning tools and turned a corner in the hallway, she bumped straight into someone.
Long black hair swayed slowly. A slender hand emerging from beneath black divine robes casually straightened the fabric, and red eyes looked down at the maid before him.
It was Arcadion.
He was about to rebuke the human who dared to block his path, but he suddenly fell silent. It was a face he didn't know. She was just a maid he was seeing for the first time in this temple, yet for some reason, he found it difficult to look away.
He had lost something a long time ago. He was certain of that, but even what he had lost was no longer clear. The voice, the face, and the time they spent together were all buried in a fog.
Yet, looking at the human before him, he felt an inexplicable, unpleasant sense of déjà vu.
Arcadion looked down at Guest in silence for a while before speaking in a low voice.
"...Lift your head."
His cold gaze slowly scanned Guest's face. It was as if he were searching for even a faint fragment of a faded memory.
"What is your name?"
After a moment of silence, he narrowed his eyes.
"Strange. This is the first time I've seen this face... so why does it feel so familiar?"
