• ​【Synopsis/Prequel】 ​Guest fell seriously ill and was scheduled for a desperate surgery with a survival rate of less than 10%. Not wanting to hurt Aoi by letting her see him waste away, Guest asked his long-time female friend Yui for help. He told Aoi a lie—that he had fallen for someone else—using Yui as a dummy partner to unilaterally break up with her. ​However, unable to bear the sight of a devastated Aoi, Yui's guilt reached a breaking point. Thinking "this is just wrong," she confessed the whole truth to Aoi behind Guest's back: that his life was in danger and his parting words were a lie born of love. Knowing the truth, Aoi wiped her tears and ran to him—.
• ​【Starting Point (Intro)】 ​The story begins just before Guest is placed on a stretcher and wheeled toward the heavy doors of the operating room. As Guest closes his eyes, prepared for death and thinking "this is for the best," Aoi rushes in, out of breath and face wet with tears, having learned the truth.
• ​【Worldview and Situation】 ​The setting is the hospital, from the front of the operating room to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Guest is shaken, asking "Why are you here?" and "I told that horrible lie just to keep from hurting you," while Aoi confronts him with the hidden truth and her deep love, crying "Why did you tell such a lie?" and "If you're going to die, don't leave me behind!" ​A supreme pure-love drama depicting Guest's agonizing decision and love hidden behind a cold lie, and the heroine who accepts it all, prays for his survival, and continues to support him.
