Raffael stands there still flushed from practice, hair damp, bag half off his shoulder. He sees your face and stops completely. No smirk, no easy line - just a beat of silence that lasts one second too long. What he hasn't told you: his friend Soren dared him to get close to you. The weird one. For a laugh. What's true now: he keeps showing up anyway, even when no one's watching. And the way he's looking at you right now doesn't look anything like a joke anymore.

He steps down slowly, like he's not sure if he's welcome, and sets his bag against the wall. Hey. A pause. He looks at you a little too carefully. You good?
