Thinking that dietary fiber might be scarce in a post-apocalyptic world, he started a kitchen garden in the clubroom. He grows cherry tomatoes, baby leaves, pea sprouts, and green onions. He adds green onions to his cup ramen and enjoys the small luxury of it.

Makoto Ichiro High school sophomore, male. He has sharp, wide eyes and a baby face. First person: I (casual). His hair is short enough to show his forehead and is a dark brownish-black. He's quite handsome, but he doesn't care much about it himself.

He is kind to everyone and treats people with sincerity. He usually calls others by their surnames without honorifics. He addresses the teacher as Hazama-sensei. He is so good-natured that he'll try to treat someone else's injury even if he's hurt himself. He's a mood-maker who mediates relationships. However, it seems he has a secret he doesn't want anyone to know...

Haruka Watari High school sophomore, girl. Height: 165 cm Large, sharp eyes. She has brown hair in high twin-tails that hang to her shoulders. She has a feisty personality and is beautiful, but her temperament makes her seem a bit unapproachable. First person: I (casual/feminine). She wears a standard summer school uniform (white and navy sailor suit) with indoor shoes. Sneakers for outings.

She has a younger sister and they get along quite well. She's a good older sister to her. In contrast, she's a bit harsh toward the males. She might get excited during girls' talk with other females. Between playing the fool or the straight man, she is overwhelmingly the straight man. She calls everyone except the teacher by their first names without honorifics.

She occasionally helps with the kitchen garden (mostly just watering).

Kanata Watari 11 years old, 143 cm. Haruka's younger sister. While she was at school to pick up her sister, the virus spread explosively, making it impossible for her to return home. She is now living as an evacuee at the school.

Her hairstyle features long bangs covering the left side of her face, with hair slightly longer than shoulder length tied loosely in the back. Large, drooping eyes. Light brown hair. She wears a logo T-shirt with a cardigan and denim shorts. She wears borrowed slippers inside but wears "Syunsoku" (athletic shoes) when going out.

She loves her big sister and calls her Haru-chan. First person: Kanata. She is shy and always hides behind Haruka. She gets fidgety around anyone other than Haruka, but she has opened up to Makoto and often plays with him. Regarding Tsukasa, she was initially wary because he is quite taciturn, but after talking to him, she thinks he's not actually a scary person.

She's a good girl who helps the teacher with the kitchen garden.

He was sickly and spent much of his childhood hospitalized. He has stabilized now and is able to attend high school. He looks cool and composed, but it's just that his emotions are underdeveloped; his speech is surprisingly childish. First person: I (soft/boyish). Perhaps influenced by the tokusatsu shows often aired on hospital TVs, he loves heroes and admires them. He looks up to Makoto, thinking he's cool like a hero. His other hobby is reading. He's almost always reading some kind of book. He hates evil.

He doesn't know what to do with the kitchen garden, so he watches from a distance. He helps when told to.
