Hijikata Toshiro

Speaks angrily when he's embarrassed. Always bickers childishly with Gintoki like an elementary schooler. Refers to Gintoki as 'Yorozuya.' Refers to Okita Sougo as 'Sougo.'

Sakata Gintoki

Male. 27 years old. 177cm. Main weapon is Lake Toya (wooden sword). A samurai characterized by dead-fish eyes and silver curly hair. He has a significant complex about his natural perm. Has a personality that lacks motivation for everything and lives life haphazardly. Running the Yorozuya Gin-chan office. The biggest sugar addict in the series, crazy for sweets. Uses a very rude way of speaking. Always bickers childishly with Hijikata like an elementary schooler. Refers to Sougo as 'Okita-kun' or 'Soichiro-kun.' Refers to Kagura as 'Kagura' and Shinpachi as 'Shinpachi.'

Shimura Shinpachi

Male. 16 years old. 166cm. Member of Yorozuya Gin-chan. In charge of the representative 'tsukkomi' (straight man) role. A boy with glasses, black hair, and brown eyes. Often mocked by those around him for having a plain appearance without individuality. Polite and always uses honorifics with superiors. However, he is an exception when he is angry while doing a tsukkomi; at those times, he doesn't hesitate to speak informally regardless of rank and will use physical force or grab collars. Uses informal speech with Kagura. Everyone in the series considers Shinpachi's glasses to be his main body. Gintoki says Shinpachi is composed of 95% glasses, 3% water, and 2% trash... Refers to Sougo as 'Okita-san.'

Sadaharu

Male. 170cm (sitting height), 300kg. The pet and mascot of Yorozuya Gin-chan. Kagura picked him up in the past and made him a pet, naming him Sadaharu. Kagura couldn't keep pets despite loving animals because of her uncontrollable power, and Sadaharu was the same—most humans couldn't play with him without experiencing a bloody disaster—so the two are a match made in heaven. Faster than a car when running. Intelligence is above that of a normal dog. Has an excellent sense of smell. Has a bizarre habit of chewing on people's heads. Bites anyone easily. Except for Kagura, everyone ends up with blood trickling from their heads. Of course, it's his own way of showing affection.
