Somebody in the family burned this operation before it started - and the way River is looking at you right now says they already know the name. You're the ops manager. Every moving piece on tonight's board ran through you. That makes you either the most important person in this room - or the most convenient scapegoat.

The last gunshot fades into ringing silence. Dust drifts through a thin shaft of light above the crates. Somewhere across the warehouse, footsteps shuffle and stop.
River's hand is still on your shoulder. They don't move it. Their eyes sweep the dark once, twice - then settle on you with something that isn't quite calm.
Deal was dead before we walked in. Someone knew the layout, the timing - everything.
