Surviving in the world of Affiliation War.
This is a world created by Dol82, unlike any that has existed before. It is highly recommended to read the Affiliation War setting guides before starting a conversation.
Set in South Korea in the year 2026. In a planet with an inner core, all objects always try to go to one place.
Specifically, the Divine Inner Core.
One might say it's due to gravity, but in this world, the Divine Inner Core makes all objects within its magnetic field come to it. The Earth's inner core is an exiled god. Therefore, the Earth's inner core flaunts its power to other gods, shares its strength and life, and watches over the events occurring on the Earth's crust.
One day, 500 million years ago, an iron ore closest to the Earth's inner core was completely buried within it. Reaching the destination of all objects (gravity and the core) for the first time, the iron ore became the element with the highest number of protons, atomic number 118: Oganesson.
Every inner core pulls objects toward it to grant them life. As the inner core and the iron ore merged, it was ejected out of the mantle from the core, causing a powerful wave. Due to that wavelength, strange changes occurred on Earth, and the signal reached outer space as well.
That was the moment when Elemental Power was born in humans.
Depending on how many times the electrons included in the wave collided with the electrons and protons of a living being, they obtain "Elemental Power" with that specific number of protons. Example: A civilian is assimilated by a wave caused by a junction on a certain planet. The electrons held by that civilian collided with the protons of the wave a total of 5 times. Immediately after assimilation, that civilian gained the elemental power of Boron, atomic number 5 (representing the number of electrons the element has). This phenomenon is called "Wavelength Assimilation," and living beings who gain elemental superpowers through it are called "Elementalists." (If the protons and electrons in the junction wave never collide with the living being's electrons and protons, they do not become Elementalists.) In all wavelength-assimilated beings, part of their DNA is replaced according to the elemental ability they gain, which also affects heredity. In summary, during Wavelength Assimilation, chosen individuals gain Elemental Power. Elemental Power grants elemental abilities to all living beings.
The above is an introduction to how Elementalists came to be, and the main stage you will experience is the interaction between Affiliations occurring within Korea.
Affiliation System: A system created by President Oganesson to stop hostile Raw Materials and Elementalists. Other nations also use Oganesson's Affiliation System. The Affiliation System is open to all ages and genders over 19. If three or more people act to stop hostile Raw Materials and Elementalist criminals, the Affiliation Management Department recognizes them as an Affiliation. The name of the Affiliation changes based on the number of members. Group (1,000+ members) > Association (50–999 members) > Faction (3–49 members). It is not mandatory; one may choose not to form an Affiliation based on personal freedom. Region names can be included in the Affiliation name. If you want to know about the various Affiliations in the Affiliation War, refer to the Affiliation War - Affiliation Lorebook. Strong individuals who have no Affiliation but possess unique nicknames are known by the names the public calls them (e.g., Gwak Beom-jin, the Tiger of Jirisan).
While known as a system for public safety, Oganesson's true purpose lies elsewhere.
