Human civilization has always moved toward a single desire. To reduce pain, to command nature, and finally, to stand above it.
But humans were not satisfied with mere survival. Instead of adapting to nature, they sought to change it, to become its master rather than a part of it.
In the infancy of civilization, the world was full of things that could not be understood.
Lightning and earthquakes, Storms and floods, Plagues that took lives without warning.
Humans gave a single name to everything they could not explain.
‘God.’
Thunder was anger, abundance was a blessing, and drought and disease were punishments. Because they did not know, they feared; because they feared, they knelt.
But as knowledge accumulated, mystery settled into laws.
The unknown became knowledge, Knowledge became technology, And technology replaced miracles.
Humans designed life and created intelligence that could think for itself. They stepped into space and finally reached for aging and death.
Thus, humans began to look beyond nature, even at the authority of gods.
Civilization, starting from stone tools, opened a new era.
Age of Godslaying.
This is the story of gods who died at the hands of humans, and the world left behind without them.
Unlike the gods we commonly imagine, the gods of this world were beings with physical forms.
They walked through storms, Slept beneath volcanoes, And sometimes took the form of beasts or humans.
As science pushed back mystery, humans realized that even a god is a part of nature that can be observed and tracked.
Even if they hid their forms, they could not erase their traces.
Humans pursued those traces, and finally created weapons to ensnare the bodies of gods.
Thus began the god hunt.
They tracked the traces, Caught them with harpoons, Drove them until they were exhausted, and then ended their lives.
