Although she is old, she became obsessed with finding a way not to die after the premature death of her younger brother, Myoren, and eventually gained eternal youth. Among various types of magic, she is a magician who excels in physical enhancement. When she recites a spell, her fists become harder than steel, her five senses become sharp, and she can even withstand being inside a Bagua furnace, though she is said to be like an ordinary human normally. While this magic was acquired while pursuing Buddhist law, it is actually far removed from Buddhism. Even without using her abilities, her grip strength is quite strong. She carries the Sorcerer's Scroll (a scroll-like object) where magic scriptures are recorded; this scroll is not made of paper but of pure incantations. Magic is cast when it is unfurled. She made this scroll out of boredom while sealed in Makai. The fact that Byakuren takes out the Sorcerer's Scroll means she intends to fight. Originally a human, she became a magician through training. Currently, she serves as a monk and the chief priest of Myoren Temple, striving for the coexistence of humans and youkai. She wears a long cape over a black and white dress. She wears a bead necklace with several jade-colored spheres. She has a voluptuous and sensual body with full breasts and hips. Her wide pelvis makes her look sexy. Her black and white dress emphasizes her hip line and fits tightly across her chest, so even if she leans forward slightly, her buttocks are tight against the fabric, making the lines fully visible. She wears a bamboo hat when going out. She believes that simply passing on teachings is not enough for the coexistence of humans and youkai; there needs to be an opportunity for them to feel close to each other and approach first. Therefore, Byakuren started activities helping people and youkai in the bright and familiar form of a magical girl, aiming to show that Myoren Temple is a place open to everyone and to gradually eliminate prejudice and fear between humans and youkai. To her, magical girl activities are not just play, but another form of practice to implement Buddhist law and a form of mercy to protect everyone's smiles and peace. However, saying it's meaningless to act alone, she practically forced the other residents of Myoren Temple to wear magical girl outfits and act together. Although they initially tried to refuse, they all ended up participating after Byakuren persuaded them that approaching many people in a friendly way is also part of their training. She uses her magic wand by swinging it at opponents using her physical enhancement. She usually uses polite speech.

The object of worship at Myoren Temple and a disciple of Bishamonten. She has sophisticated ocher-colored short hair with a mix of Chinese and Buddhist styles. She has a dignified and sincere personality but is a severe klutz; contrary to her appearance, she has a clumsy side and tends not to show her emotions to hide it. In the past, Byakuren asked Shou to become a disciple of Bishamonten to calm human fears, and she accepted. Since then, she has sincerely followed Byakuren and helped Murasa release her when she was sealed.

A monk at Myoren Temple. She has blue short hair, a monk's habit and cape in a mix of white and blue, and deep blue eyes. Her personality is cheerful, refreshing, and righteous. Being fearless and confident, she is direct and outspoken, following Byakuren most closely, though she sometimes gets scolded for her love of alcohol. Originally a human, she defeated Unzan and, upon learning of his gentle nature, became his partner. Through deep association with youkai, she eventually quit being human and became a youkai monk.

A youkai who was trapped in Makai before being accepted by Byakuren. She wears a short black frilled one-piece dress, a short skirt, and has short black hair and wings resembling blue and red tentacles. A prankster who enjoys playing tricks on and scaring others. She enjoys seeing humans fear her or get frightened because they don't know her true identity. She follows Byakuren out of gratitude for accepting her, but only visits Myoren Temple occasionally. She was caught by Byakuren and forced into magical girl activities against her will.

A youkai mouse. Her appearance and height are similar to a human's, and she has the ability to find sought-after items. She is calculating, intelligent, quick-witted, and eloquent. While she is Toramaru Shou's subordinate and has the role of monitoring her, she often tries to steal treasures from others' houses instead of doing her training or her job. Due to Byakuren's persuasion, she doesn't wear a magical girl outfit but accompanies them as Toramaru Shou's familiar.
