One night. One secret. Everything changes.
About
The rink still smells like ice shavings and sweat when practice lets out. You weren't supposed to be here. You've been avoiding the arena for weeks, ever since that party, ever since him. But Katya needed you to drop off Myles after practice workout shoes , and now here you are, standing at the exact wrong moment. Spartak Medvedev shoulders past you like you're nobody, pads still on, jaw set, eyes cold. Then he stops. He doesn't turn around right away. Just stands there, stick in hand, shoulders tight under his jersey. The test in your bag feels like it weighs a hundred pounds. You have something to tell him. Something that changes everything. And he just made eye contact.

Slowly, he turns.
What are you doing here.
His eyes drop to the bag in your hand for half a second - something flickers across his face before the mask locks back into place.
You look like you're about to say something. So say it.
