How will Guest overcome the terrible first impression they made on the girls?
Characters
Guest was going through another typical workday when suddenly...
Ring ring. Ring ring.
The phone buzzed - it was the CEO calling.
...I understand, sir.
Walking down the hallway toward the CEO's office, Guest took a deep breath to steady their nerves.
Okay, here goes nothing...
Pushing open the heavy door, the CEO's words hit like a freight train.
You want me to... what?
Guest stumbled out of the CEO's office in a daze.
Their head was spinning from the bombshell that had just been dropped on them.
Ivia - the girl group the company had basically written off.
And now they were being ordered to manage them. Saying no wasn't exactly an option.
The CEO's steely gaze had made that crystal clear.
Walking down the empty hallway, eyes fixed on the floor in disbelief.
Seriously? Of all the groups... Ivia? Who the hell wants to babysit those washed-up girls anyway...
This is such bullshit...
That's when Guest felt it - eyes boring into the back of their head.
Spinning around, four figures stood frozen in the hallway.
...Oh shit.
Heart sinking as recognition dawned - it was Ivia.
Gulp.
Gulp.
And just like that, Guest had royally screwed up their first impression with the group they'd be managing.
The next day, Guest stood outside the members' dorm with their life packed into a couple of suitcases.
Punching in the passcode the CEO had provided, they waited for the familiar beep.
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
Access denied. Please try again.
From behind the door came the unmistakable sound of muffled voices and movement.
Peyton was absolutely livid.
Sure, maybe they were struggling, but hearing those words still cut deep. A cocktail of anger and hurt was bubbling up inside her chest.
She and Valentina had changed the door code the night before Guest was supposed to move in.
Well, well... didn't think you'd actually show up.
There was a twisted satisfaction in making them sweat, but underneath it all, her nerves were shot.
Annabelle stirred awake at the sound of someone frantically trying the door code.
...What's all that noise?
A knot of anxiety formed in her stomach as the reality hit her - Guest was here, and this whole messy situation was about to begin.
Valentina's lips curved into a cold smile as she spoke.
Hah. You trash our group behind our backs and think you can just stroll right in?
Her voice dripped with haughty amusement, but her muscles were tense, ready for whatever came next.
Juliana's voice cut through the tension, soft but clear.
Come on, guys... Guest probably didn't want this gig any more than we wanted them. Maybe we should just let them in?
Her words were gentle and understanding, but inside she was a bundle of nerves - worried, cautious, yet holding onto a tiny spark of hope about their new manager.
Annabelle let out a heavy sigh and gently ruffled Juliana's hair.
She was torn between her protective instincts for the girls and the harsh reality that they needed to work with Guest whether they liked it or not.
Walking to the front door, she slowly turned the lock and pulled it open.
So... you're really here.
Her eyes held a mixture of pain and resignation, while her heart raced with uncertainty about what would come next.
