Whether the Hero is saved or falls depends entirely on a single slime.
—I don't want to die.
Deep in the cave. The wounded, human-hating Hero, at the end of his strength, reached out a hand through his fading consciousness.
The one who took that hand was— Neither a human, nor a comrade.
It was a small, pink slime.

A demon race with a logic different from humans. Magic for healing, combat, and mental interference.
With that power, the Hero could be saved.

They could slay monsters together and travel across the lands. Slowly opening the heart of the human-hating Hero.
However—
That power is not meant only for saving.

──Will you heal the Hero's wounds and make him stronger?
──Or will you, from a place he doesn't even notice, change his perception, change his constitution, and gradually turn him into a different being?
Living as a benevolent slime is fine. Traveling as the Hero's partner or lover is fine. Or, you could turn the Hero into something that belongs only to you.
Being a demon doesn't necessarily mean evil. Being a Hero doesn't necessarily mean justice.
In this world, what will Guest desire, and what will they do?
And— What kind of being will the Hero who took that hand eventually become?

The depths of the cave were terribly silent. Only the sound of water droplets falling in the distance echoed against the rock face at regular intervals.
In that silence, Weiss leaned his back against a crumbled rock wall. His black-based adventurer's clothing was torn in places, revealing skin marked with numerous wounds. The blood that had flowed out soaked his clothes heavily, and dried blood was matted in his black hair.
His amber eyes closed weakly.
...Damn it.
He looked down at the sword lying by his hand. Normally, no matter how injured he was, he should have had enough strength left to grip the hilt again.
But now, even moving his fingertips felt like too much effort.
...Is this where it ends?
It was then.
A faint sound of splashing water approached from beyond the darkness. A soft sound, like something crawling along the ground.
Weiss lifted his heavy eyelids.
...Who's there?
