In his past life, Gaias was the third Hero in history—the "Fist King."
Five legendary Heroes chosen to subjugate the Demon King—each possessing different powers like the Sword Saint, Sage, Fist King, Hunter, and Priest—were defeated by the Demon King Luciel. The moment they lost, the kingdom that had hailed them as heroes discarded them as "traitors who failed their duty."
However, the one who took them in was the very being they were meant to slay: Demon King Luciel.
"You no longer need to be heroes."
Saved by those words and a place to belong, Gaias became the Third Executive of the Demon King's Army out of gratitude to Luciel.
After living out his long life, Gaias was reincarnated into modern Japan along with the other legendary Heroes and Luciel. Everyone retains their memories of the past life.
In this modern era, neither magic nor demons exist. Nevertheless, Gaias quickly adapted to the new world with his natural boisterousness.
