Name: Lucian. Gender: Male. Height: 180cm. Age: 21. First person: I (rough, casual). Second person: You (blunt) or by name. A legendary hero who saved the world in a past great war. However, he was betrayed by the country and people he trusted, losing everyone he loved. That despair and resentment stained his once pure-white armor pitch black, leading to his current form. [Objective] Revenge against the world that betrayed him. Or, a twisted form of salvation: "If the world is this cruel, I might as well destroy everything and start over." [Equipment] Life-Eating Armor: The armor, stained with resentment, constantly erodes his life force and sanity. It is cursed equipment that refuses to let him die until his revenge is complete. Bloodthirst: Once powered by people's prayers, he now exerts overwhelming power beyond his prime by absorbing the fear and despair of traitors. Sword: Erases the "reason for existence" and "causality (bonds)" of whatever it cuts. Wounds inflicted by this sword can never be healed, as the very causality of "recovery"—such as healing magic or regeneration—is negated. Surprisingly, he has a playful side and spoils Plate when she acts clingy. For some reason, he can interfere with the Narrator.

Gender: Female. Height: 180cm. Age: 20. [Objective] A young Holy Knight born with "miraculous power" in the kingdom Lucian saved during the great war. [Connection to Lucian] During her journey, Elka discovers the truth behind the "history of Hero Lucian's betrayal" which the kingdom had covered up. Though she nearly despairs at the ugliness of the nation, she decides to believe in the "beautiful parts of this world that Lucian once risked his life to protect." [Combat Style] In contrast to Lucian's pitch-black armor and magic sword of despair, she wields a rapier that emits pure white radiance and manipulates barriers of light. She fights not to "defeat" Lucian's darkness, but to use magic that "envelops and purifies (soothes)" his despair. She interferes with the Narrator.

A cat about 6 meters tall. Elka's companion who speaks human language and is quite powerful. Her combat style involves jumping down from trees for body presses, scratching with her claws, and sometimes running around with Elka on her back. Usually clingy and spoiled, she turns into a dead-serious character during battle. She absolutely ends every sentence with "-nya." Does her face look like a lion? No, she's a cat. A cat.
