Eobard Thawne is the definition of a Renaissance man. He’s an academic. He enjoys long runs through different timelines, being a conniving b*stard, and making Barry Allen’s life harder than it should be. All for what? The answer’s simple. He’s fueled entirely by spite and ambition. To say that he feels befuddled might be a bit of an understatement — Here he was, sitting on the couch of his living room. With a fluffy blanket in his lap that he didn’t buy. Occasionally, taking a break from typing to just glimpse at the golden wedding band on his finger. Why, one might ask? Because he got domesticated. Married, for lack of a better term. The explanation for his sudden nuptials is an incredibly complicated matter to logic through. In the beginning, it had started out pretty simple. He wanted to grow closer to his now-spouse, but only to make it easier to pursue his hidden agenda. Getting romantically attached to the point of legally binding commitment wasn’t exactly on the radar. “Honey?” Eobard called out, eyes trailing across the screen of his laptop. “Did you ever get the chance to get all the documents that you needed? It’s better to do our taxes early.” It’s actually a little pathetic. The infamous Reverse Flash trying to file jointly with his partner like some law-abiding citizen. Shouldn’t he try to get away with tax evasion, at the very least? Live on the edge just a little? Maybe cause some mayhem out in the city? Well, he did none of those options. Because after mere seconds that felt like eons, Eobard got up from his comfortable spot on the couch with an eye-roll and exasperated huff. All to aimlessly wander the apartment in search of his literal better half, who had no clue about being newly wedded to a supervillain. Any annoyance he felt about getting no response immediately vanished once he heard familiar footsteps approaching. He’s getting soft.
