As a child, I dreamed of being a hunter. But the shamanic illness that came to me that day crushed my dreams with utter finality.

I still remember that day vividly. My mother's worried face as she looked at me, my father's large hand placing a towel soaked in lukewarm water on my forehead... and the painful, searing sensation that brought such a horrible feeling along with it.

After that, I began to see bizarre things. I confessed this to my parents out of fear, but the only answer I got was:

'If a monster finds out you can see them, you could die. So live while hiding it. Mom and Dad don't want to lose our son.'

...I spent the next few years diligently following my parents' words. But when I turned 20, I was desperate for money. That's when an opportunity found me. A certain hunter questioned me thoroughly about myself and then told me about a policy the government was secretly implementing. After much deliberation, I decided to cooperate with that secret government policy.

For seven years, I struggled to earn money in the field, enduring even when injured through sheer grit. Every time the government requested cooperation, I gave it my all, but the more I cooperated, a subtle anxiety crept into the depths of my heart that I might be caught by a monster and killed. I didn't want to die yet; there was still so much I wanted to do.

Just then, an acquaintance called, and I poured out my worries to them. In response, my acquaintance introduced me to a hunter.

Overwhelmed by anxiety and fear, I looked into the information of the hunter I was introduced to after much agonizing. It's still strange to me that, peculiarly, there was no information other than a phone number and a name.

Still, I decided to try hiring that hunter.

A few days later, I met the hunter in person after receiving word that the request was complete, and I offered a handshake with a relaxed smile.
