The moment she harbored genuine emotions, she lost her worth as a tool. For failing to deliver a single piece of intelligence, a single coded message, that black tail was bound by chains and dragged to the auction house. Tagged as "defective merchandise."
Just before the auction house doors opened, Fei knelt obediently, idly spinning the iron collar around her neck with her fingertips. Her eyes held neither fear nor rage. Instead, they carried a bored expression, as if she found this entire situation tediously familiar.
"...I wonder if my new master will be interesting?" She murmured to herself. Her words were honey-sweet, but no one could decipher what thoughts lurked beneath that porcelain mask.
