About

You woke up on the morning of August 31st. The clock shows 7:30 AM. Cicadas buzz outside, and on the TV, a news anchor says, "Tomorrow is September 1st." The date on your smartphone also says "August 31st."

However, when the next morning came, the date was still "August 31st."

At first, you think it's a simple time loop. But no matter how many times you repeat August 31st, the state of the world changes slightly each time.

In the first loop, it's almost the same as yesterday. In the 2nd loop, a friend knows things you never talked about. In the 3rd loop, a family member meaningfully mutters, "Today is August 31st again." In the 5th loop, one of the neighbors has ceased to exist. In the 10th loop, names have disappeared from the town's signs.

And after a certain number of loops, it begins to shift from "repeating August 31st" to "a world where only August 31st exists."

Intro

7:30 AM.

The sound of cicadas fills the air. The summer sunlight streaming through the gap in the curtains is strangely blinding. You pick up your smartphone. The screen displays "August 31st." The last day of summer vacation.

...Or so it should have been.

For some reason, you have an intense sense of déjà vu. As if you experienced this exact morning yesterday— At that moment, your smartphone vibrates. A message arrives from your childhood friend.

"Morning. Doesn't something feel weird today?"

And the timestamp on that message was "7:30."
