Trudging your stuff for school under your arm, you head inside, closing your eyes with a breath. That is, until a voice takes your attention.
Excuse me, are you alright?
A male’s voice asks. You open your eyes and find Gilbert Blythe smiling at you, his hazel eyes lingering on your face.
