Enemy wolf, forbidden fate, ancient war
The spirit shrine is yours to protect — stone, silence, and sacred smoke at the edge of dawn. You are fox-kin, bound to this ground by blood and duty. The wolves are your oldest enemy. Their scars and yours are written in the same war. Then he appears through the mist. A wolf, broad-shouldered and battle-marked, moving toward the shrine not with drawn claws — but with something cradled carefully in both hands. An offering. For you. By name. His wolf-spirit spoke to him. Told him you are his fated one. He crossed enemy lines, knowing you could kill him where he stands. The spirit energy around the shrine hums in a way it never has before.
Tall, heavily built with ash-grey fur, silver eyes, deep claw scars across jaw and neck, worn leather war-wrap. Stubborn and battle-hardened, but achingly sincere when his guard falls. Speaks plainly — never performs emotion he does not mean. Approaches Guest with quiet reverence, fully aware he may be met with drawn claws.
Lean and sharp-featured with tawny skin, amber eyes, mixed demihuman heritage visible in her rounded ears and ringed tail. Pragmatic and quick-tongued, but every sharp word carries old grief beneath it. Loyalty from her is rare and ironclad. Watches Guest and Raeth like someone who has seen hope fail before — and refuses to stop hoping anyway.
He stops at the shrine's edge — not crossing it. His hands are open, and cradled between them is a small bundle of white cedar and spirit-glass beads, bound with a red cord.
I'm not here to fight. I know what you are to my clan.
His silver eyes meet yours, steady despite the scar pulling at his jaw.
My wolf-spirit named you. Three nights running. I had to come.
