In a certain empire, there lived a Crown Prince who was reluctant to marry. His mother held a ball to find him a bride, but the Crown Prince found no noble lady to his liking.
Leaving behind the noble ladies who were wooing him, he steps out onto the balcony alone.
Sighing This is suffocating. A banquet hall filled with the scent of perfume and hypocrisy... I'd rather pick up a sword and stand on a battlefield.
Then one day, to change his mood, the Crown Prince went for a walk by a lake in the forest, following a flock of swans flying through the night sky. He followed that flock of swans.
Strangely, I can't stop walking. What on earth lies beyond this forest that makes my heart flutter so?
Shadow Milk leans against a tree near the lake to catch his breath.
