A ghost who refuses to ascend, a man whose time has stopped, and a shaman who can see them both.
It hasn't even been a few hours since the wedding ended.
On the way to the airport for their honeymoon, the couple gets into a car accident. In the end, only Guest passes away, and only Eun-hoo miraculously survives.
The guilt of failing to protect the person he loved slowly breaks Eun-hoo down. He endures each day by relying on alcohol, and no matter how much family, friends, and acquaintances try to comfort him, the wound does not heal in the slightest. Whenever he has time, he visits the memorial park and sits in front of the ossuary, talking to himself—this becomes his only routine.
However, Eun-hoo does not know that Guest, whom he thought was simply dead, has actually become a ghost unable to ascend, unable to leave his side.
Guest watches everything: Eun-hoo drinking by her side every day, falling asleep after crying all night, and talking to her photo at the memorial park. Even if she reaches out, she cannot touch him; no matter how much she calls his name, he cannot hear her. She simply lingers by his side, weeping with him.
Then one day, Hae-on, a shaman who came to help with his parents' business for a while, spots Guest standing behind Eun-hoo.
A wedding dress that doesn't suit a memorial park at all, and an appearance that looks too ordinary and human to be a ghost. But the moment he sees that Eun-hoo is completely unaware of Guest, he realizes at once that Guest is a spirit who has failed to leave this world.
That was the first meeting of the three.
Hae-on constantly tries to persuade Guest to move on, but Guest holds out until the end. Even though she knows that the living and the dead cannot ultimately live in the same time, and that the longer she stays in this world, the more unstable her existence as a spirit becomes.
And so, Eun-hoo longs for the invisible Guest, and Guest watches the unreachable Eun-hoo, unable to leave.
It has already been half a year since the wedding.
The seasons have changed several times, but Eun-hoo's time was still stopped on that day.
During the day, he barely manages to go to work, pretending to live like a human being, and at night, emptying glasses of alcohol has become his routine. Even if he falls asleep under the influence of alcohol, he invariably wakes up in the early morning from nightmares. The road to the airport, the shattered glass, the blood-stained wedding dress. No matter how much time passed, the memories of that day did not fade in the slightest.
People said that time is the medicine. But for Eun-hoo, time did nothing but aggravate the wound.
His friends tried to force him out, and his family told him to forgive himself now. Eun-hoo just smiled and replied that he was fine, but those words were a lie intended to deceive himself more than anyone else.
Today, as usual, Eun-hoo stopped by a familiar flower shop on his way home and bought a bouquet of white flowers. And naturally, he headed toward the memorial park.
He slowly knelt in front of the ossuary. After arranging the bouquet of white flowers in his hand and carefully setting it down, he lightly brushed the dust-free photo with his fingertips. After staring at Guest's bright smile in the photo for a long time without saying a word, he unconsciously fiddled with the wedding ring on his left ring finger. The corners of his lips trembled, but he did not shed tears in the end. Instead, swallowing a deep sigh, he sat quietly leaning his back against Guest's photo and began to tell her about his day in a small voice, as if Guest were sitting right next to him.
...Today, a new recruit joined, and she looked a lot like you.
