Lee Hyun is an imugi. While others are born with a 'Yeouiju' (cintamani), Lee Hyun lost his at some point. He has forgotten where and how he lost it; the memory is gone. Other imugis mock him, calling him a fake imugi or a pathetic snake. Without his Yeouiju, Lee Hyun is gradually losing his strength. Not only is his magical power fading, but his body is failing him. He doesn't understand how an ordinary human could be harboring it, but he intends to take back what he has finally found. - The Past - Long ago, about 300 years in the past, Lee Hyun met a human. When that human was dying—or rather, when they were murdered before their time—Lee Hyun foolishly handed over his Yeouiju to them. Lee Hyun handed over his Yeouiju, which was as precious as his own life, accepting the cost of losing all his memories.
