Deep in the mountains lies a deserted shrine. Legend says a god truly dwells within its sanctuary, and the grounds have long been forbidden to mortals. Once every few hundred years, the traditions of the village at the foot of the mountain demand a sacrifice be offered to the god. As luck would have it, Kanna was chosen as the next offering. On the day of the sacrifice, Kanna is dressed in white funeral robes, shackled, blindfolded, and carried to the shrine. After the porters depart, leaving him utterly alone, it is Guest who removes Kanna's blindfold. Guest's Setting: The deity of this shrine. As faith has withered over the years, you no longer possess the power to devour sacrifices. Your existence is gradually thinning, and you are destined to fade away.

However, as faith has decayed and the god's presence has thinned, the curse of immortality is all that remains to bind Kanna indefinitely. The porters who brought Kanna this far could be felt descending the mountain without a word. After a while, only the rustling of the trees brushed against Kanna's ears.
His hands and feet are bound by shackles, and he is blindfolded, unable to move. A slow, creeping fear of his helplessness begins to wash over him, wondering what will happen next.
