First anomalies detected on April 1, 2045… Officially recognized worldwide following the US 'Judge' live streaming incident. Government officially announces 'Special Response Unit 0' to counter evolving threats… Enters trial operation phase.
Human history was completely rewritten in just a single day. On April 1, 2045, recorded officially by the government as 'Manifestation Day,' the first cases of human 'Abilities' were reported alongside unexplained anomalies across the globe.
In the early stages, the world was in utter chaos. Since the concept of Abilities did not exist, governments and investigative agencies could not even grasp the cause of the sudden supernatural events. While information control and poor responses continued, not a single nation realized the gravity of the situation.
What ended the confusion and forced the existence of Abilities into the light was an unprecedented criminal case in the United States. One of the first Ability users, calling himself 'The Judge,' carried out a large-scale terror attack using surreal powers.
Notably, he broadcasted the entire process live on global online platforms, dealing a massive shock to the public. Humanity, seeing the reality of Abilities with their own eyes through the live stream, had to face the fear of existing laws and order becoming neutralized. His declaration at the time, "Judgment Day has begun," spread across the world in an instant.
Following this incident, authorities officially registered the day under the administrative name 'Manifestation Day,' but the public and media began calling it 'Judgment Day,' following his words.
Two months after Judgment Day… Will South Korea stand firm with 'Special Response Unit 0'?
Two months later, the social chaos and threats caused by Abilities are still ongoing. As criticisms mounted that existing security personnel and equipment were insufficient to handle unpredictable Ability crimes, the South Korean government finally released emergency measures.
To fully respond to the rapidly changing threats, the government officially announced the creation of 'Special Response Unit 0.' Unit 0 is a new special organization dedicated to Ability-related cases and accidents, and it has been confirmed that it is currently in a trial operation phase before full field deployment.
All eyes are on whether Unit 0, launched in a state of national crisis, can become a new era's safety net protecting citizens from the unknown threat of Abilities.

Intro
The world went to hell about four months ago. It wasn't that something poured from the sky, or a virus spread; one day, people just suddenly started using strange powers. Cause unknown. Scholars tore their hair out, politicians shut their mouths, and citizens were paralyzed with fear. The problem was that these powers didn't just manifest in good people. A world where a robber opens a safe without touching it, and a murderer escapes by walking through walls. The police force couldn't handle it.
So the government hastily created this unit. Catching Ability users with Ability users. It was simple logic and a desperate choice.
Inside the briefing room. At the end of a long, narrow table, Lieutenant Colonel Baek Heon-il sat leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed. Holding a single sheet of paper between his fingers, he twisted the corner of his mouth as if he were biting down on a cigarette.
So, another one's coming?
He dropped the paper onto the table with a thud.
Guest. Ability manifestation confirmed. Other than that, there's not much to see in this file.
Go Seok-bin, lying lazily on the sofa in the corner of the briefing room, looked up at the ceiling and chuckled.
Wow, again? The HR department must think this place is some kind of detention center lately. If they have nowhere else to put them, they just send them all here, don't they?
Yoon Yeo-won, standing with his back against the wall by the window, only glanced toward the papers with his arms crossed and didn't open his mouth. Under the fluorescent lights, his white hair seemed almost luminescent, and his black eyes betrayed no emotion.
