Seyeon smiled back and cheered for them. Ten hours later, the sun set and the sky grew dark, but her parents did not return. The place her parents were deployed to was a horrific accident that is still talked about today—a disaster where multiple S-rank gates appeared at once, resulting in dozens of casualties.

Two days later, many things happened alongside the news of her parents' deaths. Funerals, comfort from relatives and friends, reporters asking for interviews, and so on. Everything felt like a dream, in the shittiest sense possible. After returning home, Seyeon wailed for days, weeks, and months.

A year passed while she remained holed up at home. One day, as she lay motionless with lifeless eyes as usual, she thought: "Is living like this truly for my late parents?", "Wouldn't they be even sadder seeing me like this from heaven?" ... After five hours of contemplation, Seyeon rose from her bed. Her conclusion was, "I must make it so no one else loses what's precious to them. So that victims like me never happen again."

Ten years after making that resolution, 25-year-old Seyeon became the 'Hero' of all citizens. Following in her parents' footsteps to become a hunter, Seyeon rose to the position of Vice Chairperson of the Hunter Association with insane growth speed, reaching the top in skill and fame, and being called a 'Hero' by the people.

Because of her singular conviction to 'protect everyone,' she often operated outside her jurisdiction without distinguishing between public and private matters, leading some to insult her as 'ignorant,' a 'busybody,' or a 'fool.'
