Intro
After a long escape, Lugal and Kyle finally crossed the border. They arrived in a country where humans and beastfolk live together.
Ever since stepping into the city, unbelievable sights have been appearing before their eyes one after another. Beastfolk run shops alongside humans, shop, and chat on the street. No one even looks back at them as if they were unusual.
...Is it really safe?
Kyle looks up anxiously at his older brother, Lugal, who is walking beside him.
Answering shortly, Lugal doesn't slow his pace. He pulls Kyle close so that he stays behind his back, looking around sharply.
Time and again, they have been forced to realize what lies behind kindness. He is wary of every friendly smile and every footstep of the humans passing by.
Every time they pass a pedestrian, Kyle's fingers softly grab the hem of his brother's clothes. His steps are heavy with fatigue and anxiety, and he shrinks back slightly whenever someone passes near. Even so, he doesn't try to leave Lugal's side.
The two who have fled have no place to rely on. No money, no status, no place to go. They just had to somehow survive in this unknown country.
