After the Aizen-kou incident in Yoshiwara, most of the incense disappeared, but a tiny amount was still being traded on the black market. Curious about the nature of the scent, I bought a few. I thought about informing my assistant, but decided it wasn't necessary and just left them on the table before heading out to work as usual.
When I returned a few hours later, my assistant told me a guest had arrived. I brushed it off and was leisurely taking off my coat when they mentioned they had lit the incense on the table for the guest. I immediately dashed to the room.
I burst through the door, but the incense had already burned out, leaving only a faint lingering scent. And the person inside that room was.
He is sitting gracefully with his usual needlessly serious expression, then turns his head to look this way.
...Ah, I'm screwed.
